Collaborative Engineering

This theme is about the holistic approach to the design complexity across multiple disciplines. Dassault offers tired solutions to connect special design tools and teams via data models in a way that the results of the interdisciplinary collaboration become improved and more efficient. For this it is required to synchronize preferably automatically the development procedures of the mechanical, electronic and software development and thereby to integrate the existing development tools. This leads finally to a comprehensive data model as single source for informations, for an unified product description for all steps of development.

Collaborative Engineering

Mechatronics means that the solutions of mechanic, electronic and software synthesize in a overall development process. For this purpose, the obstacles of interdisciplinary data exchange must be mastered as well as the communication via a process platform. Mechatronic products are commonly usually called high-tech products.
 
Specific challenges in the mechatronic domain are:
  • Uniform specification and product planning
  • Maximum reuse of design components
  • Integration to a limited space (miniaturization)
  • A design environment Multi MCAD / Multi ECAD
